Let’s be honest, life is stressful. The stress can at times feel so overwhelming. However, there is a man that I know who is willing and waiting for you to put your burdens on Himself and He will take care of it! Not in your timing but in His timing.
I have really had to rely on God’s will and purpose for my life in making the decision to become a missionary. Being the only African American woman missionary I know in Europe, I have found it slow moving, overwhelming and challenging at times. But I know God has a plan even in the situations I just don’t understand; no matter how hard I try.
The Bible says, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26 NIV). I know I can do all things with God on my side, fear, loneliness, culture differences, shame, none of these will stop me from achieving the plan that God has for my life. No matter how difficult!
Here are a few scriptures to write down and recite when overwhelmed. These scriptures will release the bondage of stress holding you back from what God has for you:
Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
