Urdu Music Videos Have Impact

In 1973, Nancy Honeytree began publishing Christian music albums, touring, and sharing in concerts. She felt God leading her to learn Urdu (the language of Pakistan and India). Eventually, she wrote songs in Urdu and took language lessons to be able to perform them.

Through a shared connection with the Bible Channel, Honeytree came to IMM to record music videos in our studio and on-location that would be useful for broadcast. One of these seven songs, “The Man in White,” was about the dreams many Muslims have about Jesus without knowing who he is. Later, Honeytree sang the songs on tour in Urdu-speaking regions.

The Bible Channel reported: “We have been using Honeytree Music videos as part of our teaching programmes fitting with specific topics and as a filler at the end of programmes...PRAISE GOD we started to get positive comments about Honeytree Music from viewers one after another...From all over the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Pakistan. It was just amazing that suddenly God just opened the heavens to touch the lives of people. I was so pleased. People were calling just to tell us that Honeytree music videos have been so touching for people. Many people who called said words like...Brother, thank you for the blessed songs which are beautifully made...Brother, thank you...these songs touched our hearts and brought us closer to God...We feel the heart of God in this sister’s songs.
