She grew up in North Africa and found faith online through media and believers who reached out to her. When she learned about The Heritage Project, she couldn’t believe these stories had been hidden from her people. “We need these stories,” she said. Many people in North Africa grow up believing their region has always been Muslim, and that following Jesus isn’t possible for them.
The Heritage Project is an eight-episode docudrama about real believers from the first five centuries of the church. Each 30-minute episode tells the story of men and women who followed Jesus under Roman persecution, and whose faith still shapes Christianity today. These stories show something different: a vibrant Christian community that thrived there centuries before Islam.
