Guillermo and Elena came to IMM from the Southeastern Spanish District in Florida. They were working as Missions Directors at their church and also at the Section level. The Monzons started attending the Hispanic Fly-Ins where they met John & Ruth Merrell.
When they learned that IMM had a new construction project in Spain, they both felt God was leading to not only motivate people to go to the mission field, but to GO and help IMM with this very specific need. They applied for missionary special assignment with AGWM and were approved and sent by their district in March 2007.
They have found their places at IMM in coordinating building construction and helping with finance, in addition to stepping into costume when needed. Their speaking Spanish as their first language is an great asset not only for themselves in the Spanish culture, but also for IMM.
